Final Days in Merida

We had some unexpected excitement. Viveka caught her foot on the curb and went face down on the sidewalk. Lots of blood and concern she had broken her nose. People driving by stopped, people came out of their businesses, police stopped and finally the paramedic arrived on his motorcycle. Everyone was so nice, and at the end they helped us go the half block home. And no charge! By the time it was time to go home her nose had healed amazing well, so her family would not even know!

Hard to believe my six weeks in Merida is ending! It was a good choice of a house and city, and I was very happy to share it with Anne, Lois and Viveka.

So on to the next chapter…
