Plaza de Espana was built for the 1929 Exposicion Iberoamericana, a world fair of all Spanish speaking countries. Restoration is almost complete. Not a lot to see, but it is beside the large Maria Luisa park, and is a popular place for people-watching. Sevillanos’ peak paseo, or evening walk time, is from 7 to 8 pm before they start thinking of food.
